1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using NeighborAtlas (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

You must be at least 13 years old to use NeighborAtlas.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
You may not create accounts for others without their consent, or operate multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

Reviews must reflect a genuine, first-hand experience with the business.
You may not write reviews for businesses where you have a financial interest, employment relationship, or personal conflict.
You may not submit fake, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or illegal content.
You retain ownership of content you post. By submitting content, you grant NeighborAtlas a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of the Service.
We may remove any content that, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or applicable law.

Business listings on NeighborAtlas may be created by our team from public sources. Owners may claim their listing after verifying ownership.
Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of all information they add to their listing, including hours, address, and contact details.
Offering incentives (discounts, free items, payments) in exchange for reviews is strictly prohibited and may result in listing suspension.

Scraping, crawling, or harvesting data from NeighborAtlas without written permission.
Using automated tools to submit reviews, create accounts, or interact with listings.
Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Service.
Transmitting malware, spam, or any content that disrupts the Service or other users.
Impersonating another person, business, or NeighborAtlas staff.

The NeighborAtlas name, logo, and all platform software are the exclusive property of NeighborAtlas Inc. and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may not use our branding without prior written permission.

The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not warrant that reviews are accurate, complete, or unbiased.
We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any business listed on the platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeighborAtlas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute shall be resolved exclusively in the applicable US federal or state courts.
