California Car Sounds

This place is a rip off. I filed a claim against them at the Bureau of Automotive repair Case # 2011012028. If you get anything done there and it get screwed up with it will you were warned. The Guy Steve who work there and tell you he is the owner is not. He is a idiot and thats being kind.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. DO NOT, AND I MEAN, DO NOT BELIEVE THE QUOTES!! A BUNCH OF LIARS!!!!I called California Car Sounds on National Blvd in Los Angeles, 90034 for an installation quote and I completely disclosed I had a hybrid Prius with a "Start" button (and not a key ignition). I booked an appointment, but later cancelled because I got a cheaper price somewhere else. Upon canceling, they offered a deal, where they would deduct half of the installation from their competitor. I cancelled that appointment and agreed to go AGAIN at California Car Sounds. I arrived and was getting everything started (paperwork, payment, etc), but then they later said that my PARTICULAR year of my Prius was "extra". That this particular year was "different" and had to have installed with an additional apparatus, even though i had told them I had an '07 Toyota Prius on the phone when i had first tried to book them! I told them I felt like they lied to me to tried to get me back there after my initial cancel. Then they had the audacity to ask "What are you willing to pay?" At that point, I went hysterical and just storm out (after ripping the paperwork I had started).It was a complete waste of time and then i had to rebooked the appointment with the other business I was going to go in the first place. A complete lost of 3 days. Never again. I would *never* recommend California Car sounds, not even for a simple car wash. Complete liars and manipulators.Google search them - similar rip off reviews all over the internet - Yelp, Google, etc.
